Our family had the privilege of taking a vacation to Corpus Christi, TX.
The drive was about 10 hours long, and Dad, Paul, and I took turns.
Are you asking how we decided to go to Corpus Christi?
Well, usually, Dad has business conferences to attend every year.
And this year, it was in Corpus Christi.
And like usual, he likes to take us with him to his conference,
so we could enjoy our time by touring that area.
In Corpus Christi, we did a LOT....
A lot of swimming!!
We went swimming at the hotel pool, and at the Padre Island National Shore.
Because of the pool getting crowded in the evenings, we decided to go in the morning...
That was a lot of fun to start our vacation with swimming in the pool.
The pool wasn't big, but since we were the only people at the pool, it seemed as if it was our own personal pool!
Not only did we get to play in the pool, but we got lots of red marks on our face and our arms...
I guess you call those sunburns.. :)
The next day, we went to the beach...
But this time, we were a bit more prepared...
We bought 'WATERPROOF' sunscreen and Aloe Gel for after burns...
Who would have thought to bring this tool to the beach?? Paul is using it to perfect his sand castle... |
We also celebrated Dad's birthday at the hotel!
We used 'BLUE BELL' (since we are in Texas) Ice Cream as our birthday cake.
Another fun thing we did....
Fishing for Crabs!!...
Why say 'fishing' for crabs and not Crabbing!!?
This is where the net was hooked up to, so it won't just drop into the water. |
Somebody left a shrimp... I am not sure if someone caught this, or if it was used as a bait... |
The next day, we went to the beach one more time!
We decided to find a different location and went a bit further to where we can actually drive on the sand by the shore.
Then... oops...
Thankfully, Paul was able to find some useful things and get the car out of the sand.
A car we saw on the road... This car was all taped with zebra pattern... Quite a bit of work! |
A view from the highway... |
Coming back from the beach, we decided not to waste any time...
So we decided to jump right into the swimming pool!
Hold onto daddy, and we will be safe!! |
